The hypocracy continues!

I was so pleased to read this article on CNN.com yesterday. Few things bring me such joy as reading about conservative politicians who are in the news for gay sex acts. Senator Larry Craig, claims he is innocent, but has been investigated numerous times over the years for inappropriate behavior with men. If this was his first time, I wouldn't be so giddy, but being accused multiple times over 25 years leads me to believe that this guy is a homo. And the cherry on top of my happy cake is that he is affiliated with American Family, an organization I am wholly opposed to.

And to make this story even better, our own homophobic Fort Lauderdale mayor, Jim Naugle, has been thrown off of the Visitors Bureau. Woo Hoo! His claims that gay bathroom sex in Fort Lauderdale is scaring away families have not only alienated him in this town, but also caused the nation to look at Fort Lauderdale under a magnifying glass. His actions have cost this area millions in lost revenue from groups who no longer want to vacation here and spend their money.

The tie between these stories is that we have a "straight" conservative senator getting his jollies in the airport bathrooms, and our mayor is concerned about supposed "gay sex problems" in Fort Lauderdale bathrooms? Come on, the Fort Lauderdale police even admit that there have been only three arrests for bathroom sex in this city in recent years. Why isn't he focusing on domestic violence or asshole drivers? I wouldn't be surprised to see his mug on CNN.com for getting busted for groping some dude in a bathroom. Mark my words.
