baby it's cold outside

Brrrrr from south Florida! As predicted, the temperature steadily dropped yesterday. We even had to put on the heat last night, a rare occurrence at our house. Both Steven and I felt like we spent all night getting warm. Usually the covers are thrown everywhere, but last night we both protected our respective portions of the blanket like guard dogs.
Millie, impervious to the cold, was ready to go outside this morning for her walk. I fumbled for my sweatshirt and we braved the wind like champs. It had been a whole year since the wind burned my hands, but I felt that familiar tingling sensation this morning. Ouch.
When I got into my car to leave for work, the temperature was a balmy 45 degrees. Now, I know if you're in the north this won't sound cold, but trust me, it is pretty chilly when the temps were in the 80s just two days ago.

As I was driving along, the temperature dropped a bit to 42 degrees. The fierce Florida wind chill was making things even worse! I am now safely at my warm desk at work. Hopefully I won't have to scrape ice from my windshield on the way home.
