monkey cups

We bought a bunch of plants for our yard yesterday. 65 to be exact: 2 bottle palm trees and 63 assorted bushes and plants. They are going to be delivered this week. I also picked up the coolest little plant, a monkey cup plant (technical name = Nepenthes). They are called monkey cups because in the wild monkeys drink the water from the cups. Cool, huh! Also, they are carnivorous. I was reading about how to care for these guys and one site suggested feeding the plant an occasional cockroach or fly. I won't be doing that, so hopefully the plant will be able to catch some prey on its own.

It is a fun plant to look at and both Steven and I agree that the "cups" resemble testicles. What do you think?
