Our friend M came over last night and we played the Wii. It was a spur of the moment thing and I am glad that we didn't have to go out. I was doing laundry and other domestic things that drive me crazy, but, unfortunately, need to be attended to. So when M suggested coming over to our place instead of going out, I was delighted.
It is coming up on a year since we bought our Wii. Normally I'm not a gamer, but some friends of ours in Boston showed us their Wii (sounds funny, doesn't it?) and we immediately knew we had to have one. Our only problem was finding one. All the stores were out of them. I found some on Ebay, and while we paid more than we would in a store, my quest for instant gratification was satisfied when the package arrived and inside was my new Wii.
Fast forward almost a year. We have logged in a lot of serious Wii hours, but lately we haven't been using it as much. Our friend M was asking about some of the features on the Wii and I realized that I hadn't updated the firmware on my unit ever. So last night we got my little Wii all updated and ready for more gamer action in the future.
The one thing that I would like to do is to be able to have my Mii avatar guy roam around to other Mii's. It would be fun to go to someone's house and have your Mii there, waiting for you to play with him or her. The only way I know how to do this currently is to upload your Mii to your remote and physically bring the remote to someone's Wii or use your unique Mii code (see here) and upload your Mii to another Wii. I need to try this.
