lips! brunch-style

A group of us ventured out yesterday to Lips, Fort Lauderdale's premiere female impersonation destination. On Sundays they have Gospel Brunch, where the "Sisters of Sequins" perform. When you first walk in, they direct you to the "Holy Water", a giant table filled with champagne, mimosas and bloody marys. Ooh boy. Once we were entertained by the drag queens, who put on quite a show, complete with gold church choir outfits.

The food is really yummy and we even saw Divine's mother! I totally recommend this to anyone who has a few hours on Sunday while in Fort Lauderdale. There is only one warning: YOU WILL GET DRUNK. Again, YOU WILL BE DRUNK. They practically force the booze on you. And remember, this is brunch, so it is noontime, not midnight. Be prepared. YOU WILL BE DRUNK. I"m not kidding , either. You have been warned.
