When my parents were here last we made a trip the The Isle Casino. The casino is located near our house, and unlike the other casino, this one is a breeze to get to. During our casino visit with my parents I signed up for the player's club card at The Isle. When you first sign up they give you $25 in free play. I took that money and luckily won around $200.
A few days later we received an invitation to what the casino was calling "an exclusive event". The event, which was scheduled for 12/19, was located at an oyster/wine bar in the casino. I knew Steven and I would attend.
When we arrived at the casino restaurant they gave me a sweatshirt and showed us into the restaurant. The were having passed h'ordeurves and an OPEN BAR. Score! We sipped on yummy cocktails and nibbled on the appetizers. There weren't a lot of people there, as I imagined there would be, but the event was neat and we learned about the offerings that the casino provides to their patrons. Oh, and I won $100 in free slot play from a raffle that they had during the event.
I blew my free play in a few minutes and was watching Steven play his money that he had brought with him. He won $200 on a slot machine and we got the hell out of there with our winnings before the casino could take them back.
I think Steven liked the casino (he wasn't able to come with us when I went with my folks). It is a nice casino and is non-smoking, which is fine with me. I thought this would be an asset to the casino, but when we were talking with one of the employees they said it actually isn't. Who knew. I guess gambling and smoking go together.
If you're ever in the area, check out The Isle Casino. Oh, they have horse racing too.
